Job Description

Customer Consultation & Sales:

  • Greeting Clients: Being the first point of contact for everyone walking into the shop.
  • Product Education: Explaining the difference between types of window film (Carbon vs. Ceramic) or paint protection (Wax vs. Ceramic Coating).
  • Upselling: Suggesting relevant accessories like floor mats, dash cams, or rain guards when a customer books a detail or tint.
  • Quoting: Providing accurate pricing based on the specific size and condition of the customer's vehicle.


Vehicle Inspections (Risk Management):

  • Pre-Work Walkaround: Inspecting the car with the customer before the job starts.
  • Documenting Damage: Noting existing scratches, dents, cracked glass, or dashboard warning lights so the shop isn't blamed later.
  • Expectation Setting: Pointing out deep scratches or stains that might not come out during a detail, so the customer isn't disappointed.


Service Coordination & Scheduling:

  • Managing the Calendar: Booking appointments so the technicians are always busy but never overwhelmed.
  • Labor Estimation: Knowing how long a window tint takes versus a full interior detail to avoid overbooking.
  • Workflow Communication: Telling the technicians exactly what the customer wants (e.g., "extra attention on the pet hair in the trunk").


Inventory & Accessory Management:

  • Ordering Parts: Placing orders for specific car accessories (like spoilers or truck bed covers) and tracking their delivery.
  • Stock Levels: Monitoring the shop’s supply of soaps, polishes, and rolls of tint film.
  • Merchandising: Keeping the showroom display of accessories clean and organized to encourage "impulse buys."


Quality Control & Handover:

  • Final Inspection: Walking around the finished car to ensure no streaks are on the glass and no wax is left in the cracks.
  • Demonstrating Features: Showing the customer how to use their new accessory (e.g., how to view footage on their new dash cam).
  • Aftercare Advice: Giving clear instructions on how to maintain the service (e.g., "Do not roll down windows for 3-5 days").


Administrative Tasks:

  • Payment Processing: Handling cash, credit cards, and issuing invoices/receipts.
  • Warranty Registration: Filing the paperwork for lifetime window tint warranties or ceramic coating guarantees.
  • Follow-ups: Calling customers a week after their service to ensure they are happy and to ask for a Google review.
