Job Title: Foundry / CNC Machine shop Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

The Foundry Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in foundry operations to ensure smooth and safe production.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and equipment in the foundry.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery such as induction furnaces, sand mixers, moulding machines, shot blasting machines, and compressors.
• Monitor and maintain electrical panels, motors, sensors, and control circuits.
• Ensure proper functioning of PLC systems and automation controls (if applicable).
• Carry out routine inspections to identify electrical issues and take corrective action.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and electrical repairs.
• Follow safety procedures while handling electrical equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrician or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 3 – 5 years’ experience as an electrician in foundry / heavy engineering / manufacturing industry.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and panels
• Experience in motor control circuits and power distribution
• Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices

Working Conditions

• Work in foundry environment with exposure to heat, dust, and noise.
• May require shift work and emergency maintenance support.
