Fashion Designer

Role ObjectiveThe Fashion Designer will be the creative heart of our fashion business. You will lead the design process for custom garment orders, from initial client consultations and sketching to fabric selection and supervising the final construction. Your goal is to deliver best experience through precision fit and innovative design.

• Core Responsibilities- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their vision, body type, and occasion requirements. Provide expert advice on silhouettes and fabrics that flatter.
• Concept & Sketching: Create detailed hand-drawn or digital illustrations and technical "flats" for client approval.
• Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Identify and procure high-quality fabrics, laces, and embellishments that align with the boutique's premium standards.
• Technical Supervision: Create or oversee pattern-making and draping. Work closely with tailors and embroiders to ensure the design's integrity is maintained during production.
• Quality & Fit: Lead all garment fittings. Identify necessary alterations and ensure the final product meets Wellvet’s quality benchmarks for finishing and "bespoke" standards.
• Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hand-sketching skills; proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or CLO 3D is a plus.
• Construction Knowledge: A deep understanding of garment construction, tailoring techniques, and fabric behavior (drape, grain, and stretch).
• Market Awareness: Stay updated on current luxury fashion trends while maintaining a timeless design sensibility.
