Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the onsite installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems for residential and commercial properties. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and strong customer service skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Perform end-to-end installation of solar panels, mounting hardware, inverters, and related balance-of-system components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues with system performance, including testing, fault location, and component replacement (e.g., inverters, wiring, modules).
• Site Assessment: Conduct site evaluations to identify potential hazards/challenges and determine the optimal placement and configuration for solar systems.
• Electrical Work: Perform electrical tasks, including wiring, grounding, and continuity testing, ensuring compliance with all local and national electrical codes and standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all installation and maintenance activities, system performance, and spare part usage.
• Customer Interaction: Professionally interact with clients, providing technical support and educating them on the operation and maintenance of their solar energy systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health and safety protocols (e.g., OSHA standards) and ensure all installations comply with relevant regulations.
