Gas Quality And Composition Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Gas Quality & Composition Specialist to lead gas analysis,

combustion validation, and performance verification within our advanced manufacturing facility.

This is a senior technical role requiring deep expertise in gas chemistry, combustion behaviour,

gas analyser instrumentation, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate must be capable of independently analysing gas samples, interpreting

composition data, defining quality benchmarks, and advising R&D and production teams on

performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣Gas Composition Analysis

● Conduct hands-on gas sampling and analysis

● Interpret gas analyser data (CO, CO₂, CH₄, H₂, O₂, NOx, etc.)

● Determine calorific value, purity, and stability

● Identify contamination or abnormal composition patterns

● Provide technical interpretation of end-result gas quality

If a gas sample is provided, the specialist should be able to:

● Break down composition percentages

● Identify combustion efficiency

● Predict performance impact

● Recommend corrective tuning

2️⃣Instrumentation & Calibration

● Oversee installation and setup of gas analysers

● Develop calibration protocols

● Ensure analyser accuracy and repeatability

● Validate sensor performance periodically

● Coordinate with IIOT team for data integration

3️⃣Combustion & Process Optimisation

● Work closely with R&D and Engineering

● Analyse combustion behaviour under varying loads

● Define optimal gas mixture parameters

● Establish safe operating limits

● Support tuning and refinement of machine output

4️⃣Compliance & Documentation

● Develop gas quality SOPs

● Define acceptable tolerance ranges

● Prepare compliance reports

● Support audit readiness

● Maintain traceable documentation of gas test results

5️⃣Testing & Validation Leadership

● Design gas testing protocols

● Supervise lab testing activities

● Train testing engineers and lab staff

● Ensure repeatable and standardised test procedures
