Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer proficient in both AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support our product design and development activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and design documentation for a variety of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop accurate 3D models, assemblies, and part drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and input from design teams.
• Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, QA, and purchasing.
• Maintain and organize CAD data and drawing archives.
• Participate in design reviews and implement changes as required.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Support prototype development and product testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Design Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with sheet metal, weldments, and surface modeling in SolidWorks is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in CNC machining or a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM).
