Job Title: Proposal Engineer – Wastewater Treatment

Department: Proposal Design and Engineering

Reporting To: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Location: Ganapathy,Coimbatore

Job Summary:

The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals for wastewater treatment systems. The role involves collaborating with internal departments to develop accurate, cost-effective, and technically compliant proposals for clients in the water and wastewater sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Preparation & Tender Review:

• Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for STP, ETP, RO, and WTP systems.
• Study tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, BOQs, and equipment sizing sheets.
• Draft technical write-ups, compliance statements, and cost summaries.

Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with Sales, Design, Procurement, and Project teams for inputs and approvals.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers for technical and commercial quotations.
• Attend client meetings and provide clarifications during the proposal phase.

Costing & Estimation:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates covering equipment, materials, and services.
• Optimize design and equipment selection to achieve cost efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain organized proposal documentation, tender clarifications, and communication records.
• Ensure proposals align with company standards, accuracy, and deadlines.

Technical Competency:

• Stay updated with the latest technologies and design methodologies in wastewater and water treatment.
• Support the design team in optimizing system configurations and layouts.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in proposal preparation within the water/wastewater treatment industry.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge in MS Excel (Mandatory).
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of STP, ETP, RO, and WTP systems and processes.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
