Job Description – Purchase Executive (Textiles & Garments)

Position: Purchase Executive

Industry: Textiles / Garments

Location: Coimbatore

Travel Requirement: Willing to travel from Coimbatore to Tiruppur for vendor coordination and sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase fabrics, trims, accessories, and other garment raw materials.

Identify and develop new vendors and suppliers in the textile and garment industry.

Compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.

Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production requirements.

Coordinate with production, warehouse, and quality teams for material requirements.

Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to avoid delays.

Maintain proper purchase records, invoices, and documentation.

Ensure quality and quantity verification of purchased materials.

Control purchase costs and maintain good supplier relationships.

Requirements

0.6-2 years experience in textile or garment purchasing.

Knowledge of fabric types, garment accessories, and sourcing markets.

Good negotiation and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel and purchase documentation.

Willingness to travel between Coimbatore and Tiruppur when required.
