Job SummaryThe Retail Manager is responsible for managing overall showroom operations, supervising all floor manpower, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining discipline and standards as per SIMCO management expectations. The role requires strong leadership, operational control, and direct coordination with the Managing Director.

• Key Responsibilities1. Floor & Manpower ManagementManage and supervise all showroom floor staff (sales executives, helpers, cash counter, supervisors).
• Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules, and ensure adequate manpower on all floors.
• Monitor punctuality, attendance, discipline, and grooming standards of staff.
• Train and guide staff on product knowledge, customer handling, and selling skills.
• Handle staff issues, conflicts, and performance concerns and report to MD/HR.
• 2. Sales & Customer ExperienceEnsure daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets are achieved.
• Monitor customer service quality and resolve customer complaints effectively.
• Ensure proper product display, merchandising, and stock visibility.
• Encourage upselling, cross-selling, and conversion improvement on the floor.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• 3. Operations & ReportingOversee daily showroom opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure billing, cash handling, and POS operations are followed correctly.
• Coordinate with accounts, warehouse, and purchase teams when required.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports, manpower reports, and issue reports to MD.
• Share feedback, floor challenges, and improvement suggestions directly with MD.
• 4. Stock & Inventory CoordinationMonitor stock availability on the floor and avoid stock shortages.
• Ensure proper inward, outward, and stock movement coordination.
• Reduce damages, mismatches, and pilferage through strict control.
• Coordinate with store/warehouse team for replenishment.
• 5. Compliance & DisciplineEnsure company policies, SOPs, and management instructions are strictly followed.
• Implement rules related to leave, breaks, purchases, and discipline.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall showroom standards.
• Support audits, surprise checks, and management inspections.
• Required Skills & QualificationsProven experience as Retail Manager / Showroom Manager (Textile preferred).
• Strong leadership and team-handling skills.
• Good communication skills (English + Tamil preferred).
• Sales-driven mindset with operational discipline.
• Ability to handle pressure and report directly to top management.
