Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructures for our clients. You will work directly on-site, collaborating with both internal teams and customers to ensure the network is optimized, secure, and meets the highest standards of performance.


Job Requirement – Field Network Engineer (Experienced)Key Skills & Expertise Required:

  • Server Management:
  • Proven hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise-level servers (Windows/Linux). Should be able to manage server roles, services, storage, and virtualization.
  • Firewall Configuration & Maintenance:
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto). Must understand firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and access control.
  • Network Troubleshooting:
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues at Layer 2 and Layer 3. Familiar with routing, switching, IP addressing, and subnetting.
  • On-Site Field Support:
  • Willingness to travel to client locations for setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting tasks. Must possess good communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience working as a field/network/system engineer handling live environments.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • CCNA / CCNP
  • MCSA / MCSE
  • Fortinet NSE
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+

Key Responsibilities:

Service Call Management

  • Review and assign pending service calls among team members.
  • Ensure all service calls are attended to and resolved within defined SLAs.

2. Field Visit Execution

  • Share live location details before departing for field service visits.
  • Ensure completion of all assigned tasks during the field visit.
  • Submit on-site completion reports immediately after finishing the service.



3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Update daily reports with accurate service activity data.
  • Log individual service task details into the monthly Excel tracker.
  • Maintain hard copies of:
  • Daily service reports
  • AMC visit reports
  • Preventive maintenance checklist.



4. Scheduled Maintenance (AMC Visits)

  • Follow the monthly AMC schedule and ensure all planned visits are completed.
  • Ensure timely preventive maintenance for all AMC customers.

 

  • Maintain physical records of AMC service and maintenance reports.
  • Visit AMC clients quarterly, accompanied by the BDM or Sales Manager.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and provide quality technical resolutions.
  • Resolve AMC queries within contractual timelines.
  • Provide timely and efficient solutions to minimize downtime.



5. Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the sales team to support technical inputs and insights.
  • Assist in closing service-related deals or AMC renewals when needed.



6. Customer Query Handling

  • Monitor the customer WhatsApp group consistently for incoming issues.
  • Provide timely remote support via AnyDesk, or assign a service visit if needed.



7. Team Coordination & Communication

  • Share daily updates, schedules, and issues in the team communication group.
  • Ensure smooth task handovers and transitions among team members.
  • Review daily:
  • Service reports
  • AMC reports
  • Team members’ service plans
  • Technical knowledge of the team
  • Conduct ongoing performance monitoring and provide coaching/feedback as needed.
