Job Description

Overview

A Mid-Level Civil Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects such as roads, buildings, bridges, and water systems. They work closely with senior engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications

Conduct site inspections and analyze survey reports, maps, and data

Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting

Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams

Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues

Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimations

Prepare technical reports and documentation

Use engineering software for design and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, Civil 3D)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3–7 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with project management tools
• Knowledge of structural analysis or geotechnical engineering
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building standards
• Ability to manage small projects independently
