Two-Wheeler Service Technician

A Two-Wheeler Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcycles and scooters by conducting routine servicing, fixing mechanical and electrical issues like engines and brakes, replacing parts, and using diagnostic tools to ensure safety and performance. They also perform safety inspections, advise customers on maintenance, keep detailed service records, and stay updated on new technologies. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and fix engine, transmission, brake, and electrical system problems.
• Maintenance: Perform routine services, fluid changes, tune-ups, and part replacements.
• Inspections: Conduct safety checks to ensure vehicles meet standards.
• Component Work: Repair or replace defective parts, including tires, subassemblies, and engine components.
• Customer Service: Communicate repair details, costs, and timelines to customers and provide maintenance advice.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• New Vehicle Assembly: Assemble new motorcycles for sale. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of motorcycle mechanics, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Tool Proficiency: Ability to use specialized tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Communication: Good verbal and written skills for customer and team interactions.
• Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent service and technical support.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a workshop environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, often supplemented by formal training from a trade school. 

Key Duties in Practice:

• Changing oil and other fluids.
• Mounting, balancing, and repairing tires.
• Adjusting brakes and suspension systems.
• Servicing and repairing fuel injection and carburetor systems.
• Fitting accessories and performing custom work.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment.
• Staying current with new industry developments.
