Key responsibilities

• Customer service:
• Greeting customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Answering customer questions about products and services.
• Assisting customers with finding products.
• Handling customer issues and complaints professionally.
• 
  
• Store maintenance and organization:
• Keeping the sales floor and storage areas clean, which includes tasks like dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Arranging products on shelves and in displays to be neat and visually appealing.
• Ensuring price tags are accurate and up to date.
• Inventory and stock management:
• Unloading and organizing new stock in storage areas.
• Restocking shelves and rotating products.
• Assisting with periodic inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Monitoring stock levels and sales trends.

• Sales and transactions:
• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assisting sales staff during busy periods.

• Visual merchandising:
• Helping to create and maintain attractive visual displays.
• Setting up promotional materials. 

Necessary skills and qualifications

• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work well as an individual contributor or within a team. Basic computer skills are often required for POS systems.
• Other requirements: Ability to work under pressure and extended shift timing if required. Must have presentable looks.
• Experience: While not always mandatory, prior experience in a retail store is a plus.

Education: 10th or 12th or equivalent is typically required.
