LASER CUTTING MACHINE OPERATOR

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and diligent CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our elevator parts manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precision components from sheet metals (SS, MS) as per design specifications, ensuring high quality and optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC laser cutting machines for sheet metal fabrication (SS/MS/Square Pipe).
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
• Select appropriate raw materials and load them onto the machine as per job requirements.
• Input cutting programs, adjust machine settings, and monitor cutting parameters for optimal results.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, quality of cut, and surface finish as per QC standards.
• Report deviations, defects, or equipment issues to the supervisor for corrective action.
• Ensure proper safety measures, PPE usage, and maintain a clean work area.
• Document work performed, material usage, and production output in relevant logs or ERP systems.
• Coordinate with assembly, maintenance, and QC teams to ensure seamless workflow.
• Assist in preparing components for subsequent stages (bending, painting, assembly).

Required Qualifications & SkillsI

• TI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (industrial sheet metal).
• Familiarity with machine programming (G-code, CAD/CAM software) preferred.
• Knowledge of materials (SS/MS/Square Pipe) and their cutting parameters.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of shop safety protocols and quality standards.
• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills for CNC machinery.
