Job Summary

The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of staff, students, and visitors, as well as for the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned vehicles. The role requires a responsible, punctual, and courteous individual with a strong sense of road safety and institutional discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain UDMRI vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure vehicles are always fueled, clean, and in good running condition.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or required maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic rules and institutional transport policies.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs.
• Provide transport support for official duties, hospital operations, and college activities.
• Assist with loading/unloading of materials or equipment as needed.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at all times.
• Perform minor repairs and coordinate servicing schedules with the transport department.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding institutional matters and passenger details.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10th pass from a recognized board.
• Valid Driving License (LMV / HMV) as applicable.
• Experienced in driving fully automatic sedan/SUV/MUV
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (preferably in educational or healthcare institutions).
• Good knowledge of traffic laws, Dehradun routes, and vehicle maintenance.
• Basic understanding of English/Hindi for communication and log entry purposes.
