Job Description

  • Staff management:
  • Assign duties to housekeeping staff and supervise their work. 
  • Conduct training on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. 
  • Handle staff scheduling and manage absences. 
  • Motivate staff and resolve workplace issues. 
  • Screen applicants and recommend hiring, promotions, or dismissals. 
  • Quality control:
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness. 
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure proper cleaning techniques are used. 
  • Ensure all services, such as cleaning windows and rugs, meet standards. 
  • Inventory and supplies:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. 
  • Ensure supplies are ordered and distributed to staff. 
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained and safe to use. 
  • Safety and compliance:
  • Ensure all staff comply with safety and sanitation policies. 
  • Make sure cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly. 
  • Administrative and guest services:
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services. 
  • Address maintenance issues and communicate them to the appropriate departments. 
  • Fill out daily reports and keep records of housekeeping activities. 
  • Make recommendations for improving efficiency and service within the department.
