Buying Manager

Role Summary:

Responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing product assortment to ensure optimal stock levels, high sales, and profitability. Will handle vendor coordination, negotiation, and inventory planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan product assortment and buying strategy as per market trends and sales data
• Source and manage vendors, negotiate pricing, margins, and delivery timelines
• Ensure right stock availability, avoid overstock & stock-outs
• Monitor inventory, ageing stock, and fast/slow-moving products
• Track sales performance and category-wise reports
• Coordinate with store, warehouse, VM, and finance teams

Requirements:

• Graduate / MBA preferred
• 4–8 years experience in retail buying / merchandising / procurement
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and planning skills
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, ERP / POS systems
