Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support statutory compliance. The candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries, ledger posting, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank, cash, and vendor reconciliations
• Manage GST compliance including return filing, reconciliation, and payments
• Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing
• Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Support internal and external audits by providing required data
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• CA Inter / M.Com (preferred but not mandatory)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation (GST, TDS)
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, Excel)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
