Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate books of accounts (Journal, Ledger, Cash Book, Bank Book)

Handle accounts payable & receivable

Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions

1. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Generate MIS reports for management review

Conduct variance analysis and highlight key financial insights

1. Taxation & Compliance Handle GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation)

Manage TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing

Ensure compliance with Income Tax and other statutory regulations

1. Banking & Reconciliation Perform bank reconciliations regularly

Monitor cash flow and fund management

Coordinate with banks for transactions and documentation

1. Audit & Documentation Prepare data for internal and external audits

Maintain proper documentation for all financial records

Ensure audit compliance and closure of audit queries

1. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist in budgeting and forecasting

Monitor expenses and suggest cost-saving measures

Track actual vs budget performance

1. Team Coordination Supervise junior accounts staff (if applicable)

Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs

Work with management for financial planning

Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)

Expertise in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Busy, Zoho Books)

Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS reporting)

Analytical and problem-solving ability

Attention to detail and accuracy
