Job Description: Bakery Chef (Commis 1)Role Overview Epicurean Hospitality Services is seeking a disciplined and skilled Bakery Chef at the Commis 1 level for our production unit in IMT Manesar. This role focuses on the large-scale production of high-quality baked goods, strictly adhering to client-specified recipes and standardized operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities1. Bulk Production & Recipe Adherence

●    Execute daily production of bread, pastries, and other baked goods in large batches while maintaining consistent quality.

●    Strictly follow client-specific recipes and SOPs to ensure uniformity across all production runs.

●    Monitor baking temperatures, timings, and proofing processes to ensure product excellence.

2. Kitchen Management & Efficiency

●    Workflow: Organize the daily baking schedule to meet dispatch deadlines while minimizing food waste.

●    Inventory: Monitor ingredient levels (flour, yeast, dairy, etc.) and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Store Manager.

●    Maintenance: Ensure all industrial bakery equipment (ovens, provers, mixers) is operated safely and maintained in clean condition.

3. Quality Control & Food Safety

●    Sensory Checks: Inspect every batch for texture, color, and taste before it leaves the bakery department.

●    Hygiene: Maintain a "Gold Standard" of cleanliness in the bakery section, following FSSAI and HACCP guidelines.

●    Labeling: Ensure all products are properly cooled, packaged, and labeled with expiry dates and batch codes.

4. Supervision & Development

●    Assist the CDC/Sous Chef in supervising Commis 2, 3, and kitchen helpers.

●    Delegate tasks effectively during peak production hours to ensure no delays in the supply chain.


Candidate Profile Industrial Food Manufacturing: Experience in high-volume production units (Ready-to-Eat, Frozen Foods, or Centralized Kitchens).

Commercial Bakery Chains: Experience with brands that supply large-scale outlets, cafes (e.g., Starbucks, Costa Coffee), or retail chains.

Institutional Catering: Background in large-scale catering firms providing services to corporates, airlines, or hospitals.

QSR & Hotel Supply: Experience in "Commissary" setups that provide standardized baked goods to multiple hotel properties or Quick Service Restaurants.
