ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a result-driven Business Development Manager with strong technical and commercial expertise in the elevator or building materials industry. The role involves lead conversion, client acquisition, project sales, and strategic business expansion across residential, builder, and consultant segments.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling the complete sales cycle — from enquiry qualification to project closure.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


🔹 Sales & Business Development

  • Handle and convert inbound enquiries into confirmed orders
  • Generate new business through architects, builders, consultants, and channel partners
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions
  • Identify new market opportunities and key growth segments
  • Build and maintain a strong project sales pipeline


🔹 Technical & Commercial

  • Understand site conditions (shaft size, pit, headroom, etc.) and propose suitable lift solutions
  • Coordinate with design and estimation teams for techno-commercial proposals
  • Prepare and present customized project proposals
  • Lead price negotiations and contract finalization
  • Ensure timely closure of orders


🔹 Client Relationship Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with:
  • Builders & developers
  • Architects & consultants
  • Individual home owners (for home lifts)
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Track competition and market trends


🔹 Sales Planning & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales reports
  • Provide sales forecasts and business strategy inputs


DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE


Experience:

  • 3+ years in elevator
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals


Technical Understanding:

  • Knowledge of elevator systems (traction, hydraulic, MRL, home lifts) preferred

OR

  • Strong project-based technical sales background


Skills:

  • Strong negotiation & closing ability
  • Excellent client handling & presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive revenue
  • Techno-commercial acumen
  • CRM & MS Excel proficiency


✔ Education:

Diploma / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) preferred

MBA (Marketing) is an advantage
