CCTV Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration: Mount, position, and set up cameras, monitors, and recording devices (DVRs/NVRs).
• Wiring & Networking: Run cables, configure IP addresses, and integrate systems into network infrastructure.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are functioning effectively, performing upgrades and repairs as needed.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software and hardware malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Site Surveys: Assess locations for optimal camera placement and security coverage.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CCTV systems, IP networking, and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience: Previous experience in security installation or electronics, with knowledge of industry software (e.g., Genetec, exacqVision).
• Physical Ability: Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and operate in confined spaces.
• Communication: Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and fix complex technical issues.
