Chemical Analyst

We’re looking for a Freelance Chemist (Remote) – Automotive Chemicals

We’re expanding our R&D efforts and are looking to onboard a freelance chemist who can work remotely on developing and improving automotive chemical formulations.

What the role involves:

Developing hypothetical & bench-level formulations for automotive products

Product categories may include:

Rubbing compounds (heavy / medium / light cut)

Polishes

Cleaners & degreasers

Interior & exterior care chemicals

Providing ingredient rationale, formulation logic, and expected performance outcomes

Supporting testing protocols, troubleshooting, and optimization

Working collaboratively with our internal team through iterations

What we’re looking for:

Strong background in formulation chemistry (industrial / specialty chemicals preferred)

Experience with automotive, coatings, abrasives, surfactants, or related systems

Ability to think in terms of performance trade-offs, not just ingredients

Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly

Prior consulting / freelance experience is a plus

What this is NOT:

Not a manufacturing role

Not a sourcing or procurement role

Not a sales or marketing position

Engagement type:

Freelance / project-based (with scope for long-term collaboration)
