Job Summary :The Chinese Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Chinese cuisine, ensuring high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation. This role involves expertise in various regional Chinese cooking styles, efficient kitchen management, and maintaining consistency in food quality while adhering to the restaurant’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes (e.g., Sichuan, Cantonese, Hunan, or other regional styles).
• Ensure all dishes are prepared with the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
• Develop new menu items and seasonal specials in collaboration with the Head Chef or management.
• Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, portioning, and plating.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in Chinese culinary techniques and kitchen hygiene.
• Maintain proper stock levels of ingredients and monitor inventory to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh and authentic ingredients.
• Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and ensure regular maintenance.
• Monitor food costs and assist in maintaining cost-effective operations.
