Job Description
- Credit Risk Assessment:
- Evaluating potential and existing borrowers' creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit history, and other relevant data to determine their ability to repay loans.
- Policy Development & Implementation:
- Creating, updating, and enforcing credit policies and procedures to control risk, set credit limits, and establish fair repayment terms for loans.
- Loan Approval & Underwriting:
- Approving or rejecting loan applications based on risk analysis and within established financial limits and company frameworks.
- Portfolio Management:
- Monitoring the performance of the loan portfolio, identifying potential issues, and taking action to maintain its quality and health.
- Accounts Receivable & Debt Collection:
- Managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments, following up on overdue accounts, and negotiating with delinquent borrowers.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring all credit operations adhere to legal and regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Collaboration:
- Working closely with internal departments like sales, finance, and legal, as well as external parties such as collection agencies, to ensure alignment with business goals and effective debt recovery.
- Market Analysis:
- Tracking market factors, economic indices, and regulatory changes to understand their impact on the credit portfolio and adjust strategies accordingly.
