Job Title: Credit Assessment Officer

About the Role

The Credit Assessment Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial data, and ensuring credit decisions align with company policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound credit judgments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess loan/lease applications for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, bank statements, and other relevant documents.
• Conduct due diligence to evaluate the applicant’s repayment capacity and financial stability.
• Determine creditworthiness and recommend approval, rejection, or modification of applications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and risk teams to ensure smooth processing.
• Monitor existing customer accounts and identify potential credit risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, RBI guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in credit underwriting or credit assessment (NBFC/Bank preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial documents and credit evaluation methods.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
