Technical Proficiency

• Touch Typing: A speed of 40–50 WPM is the baseline. In transport, you often handle handwritten "Biltis" (LRs) or driver logs, so speed is key to clearing backlogs.
• Advanced Excel: You should know more than just typing in cells. Mastering VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Data Validation is essential for tracking thousands of shipments.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with ERPs like SAP, Tally Prime, or logistics-specific software (e.g., FleetX, WheelsEye) is a major advantage.
• Numeric Keypad Mastery: Since transportation involves heavy digit entry (vehicle numbers, fuel amounts, invoice totals), speed on the 10-key numeric pad is vital.
• High Attention to Detail: A single wrong digit in a vehicle number or a shipment weight can lead to massive financial losses or legal issues.
• Confidentiality: Handling sensitive client invoices and vendor contracts requires high integrity.
• Time Management: Transport hubs operate on tight windows; you must be able to process "Inward/Outward" data quickly during peak dispatch hours
