Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch & OperationsPlan and execute daily dispatch as per sales orders and priority schedules
- Ensure correct picking, packing, labeling, and loading of materials
- Verify quantity, SKU, batch, and quality before dispatch
- Maintain FIFO / FEFO dispatch discipline
- Ensure proper vehicle loading to avoid transit damage
- Documentation & CompliancePrepare and verify invoices, e-way bills, packing lists, LR/GR, and gate passes
- Coordinate with accounts team for billing accuracy
- Ensure statutory and company dispatch procedures are followed
- Maintain dispatch registers and digital records
- Team SupervisionSupervise dispatch staff, helpers, and loaders
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity
- Train staff on packing standards, safety, and SOPs
- Maintain discipline and ensure use of safety gear
- Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with warehouse, production, sales, and transporters
- Update sales/CRM team on dispatch status and delays
- Handle transporter follow-ups and resolve dispatch issues
- Escalate shortages, damages, or mismatches immediately
- Quality, Safety & Loss ControlPrevent dispatch errors, shortages, and wrong material movement
- Ensure safe handling and proper storage before dispatch
- Minimize transit damage and loading losses
- Maintain clean and organized dispatch area
- Reporting & MISPrepare daily dispatch reports
- Track pending, partial, and delayed dispatches
- Maintain transporter performance records
- Support monthly audits and stock verification
- Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of dispatch processes & logistics
- Understanding of GST, invoices, and e-way bills
- Team handling and coordination skills
- Attention to detail & problem-solving ability
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP preferred)
- Time management and multitasking
