Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketplace Manager to own and grow our sales and presence on key online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, eBay, and others. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our seller accounts, from listing optimization and advertising to inventory planning and review management. Your goal is to win the Buy Box, climb search rankings, and build a stellar brand reputation to drive profitable market share growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Channel Management:

  • Develop and execute the overarching marketplace strategy to achieve sales, market share, and profitability goals for each platform (Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, etc.).
  • Conduct deep competitive and keyword research using tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout) to identify growth opportunities and white space.
  • Manage the P&L for each marketplace channel, including budgeting for advertising, promotions, and fees.
  • Own the relationship with key marketplace representatives and account managers.

Listing Optimization & Content:

  • Manage the end-to-end catalog: create, optimize, and enhance product listings with compelling titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend search terms.
  • Ensure all content (images, A+ Content/Enhanced Brand Content, videos) is brand-compliant, follows platform-specific guidelines, and converts at a high rate.
  • Implement and manage a robust review generation and reputation management strategy to build and protect our brand score and seller rating.
  • Oversee catalog health, including suppressing duplicate listings and combating hijackers or unauthorized sellers.

Advertising & Promotions (Platform-Specific):

  • Develop, execute, and optimize PPC campaigns (Amazon Sponsored Products, Brands, Display; Flipkart Ads) to achieve target ACOS/ROAS.
  • Plan and manage marketplace-specific promotions, lightning deals, coupons, and seasonal events (Prime Day, Big Billion Days, Black Friday).
  • Utilize and analyze promotional performance reports to refine strategy.

Operations & Inventory:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to forecast demand and ensure optimal inventory levels across marketplace fulfillment centers (e.g., FBA, Flipkart Advantage).
  • Monitor and manage fulfillment performance metrics (shipping time, cancellation rate, in-stock rate) to maintain seller account health.
  • Coordinate with customer service to resolve marketplace-specific customer issues efficiently, protecting our seller metrics.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor daily key metrics: Sessions, Conversion Rate, Buy Box percentage, Advertising KPIs, and overall sales performance.
  • Analyze platform dashboards and third-party analytics to generate actionable insights and weekly/monthly performance reports for leadership.
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, policy updates, and new feature releases, adapting strategies accordingly.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically managing brand presence and sales on Amazon and/or Flipkart. Experience with Walmart, eBay, or other regional marketplaces is a strong plus.
  • Platform Proficiency: Deep, practical expertise with Amazon Seller Central (and/or Vendor Central) and Flipkart Seller Hub. You understand the nuances of each platform's ecosystem.
  • Advertising Expertise: Proven success in managing and optimizing marketplace PPC campaigns with a strong grasp of ACOS, TACOS, and ROAS.
  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency with marketplace analytics and third-party tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, SellerApp, DataHawk, or equivalents).
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to translate data into clear, actionable strategies to improve ranking, conversion, and profitability.
  • Detail-Oriented Operator: Meticulous attention to detail for listing optimization, inventory sync, and policy compliance.
