Electrical HT/LT Panel Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical HT / LT Panel Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical panel drawings for LT panels including:

• APFC (Automatic Power Factor Correction)

• AHF (Active Harmonic Filter)

• DB (Distribution Boards)

• MCC (Motor Control Centers)

• PCC (Power Control Centers)

• Metering Panels

• Drive Panels

• And other Low Tension (LT) panels

• Perform electrical calculations including:

• Load analysis

• Switchgear selection

• Enclosure sizing

• Cable sizing

• Prepare and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and Control Schematics

• Maintain documentation and update drawings as required

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or EPLAN for electrical design

• Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

• Strong understanding of electrical components and system design

• Ability to read and interpret electrical standards and customer specifications

Technical Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Projects, Procurement) for design finalization

• Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for component selection and technical clarifications

• Support client requirements, technical queries, and customizations

Site Visit Responsibilities

• Visit project sites for installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting as required

• Conduct site surveys for retrofit or new panel design projects

• Liaise with site engineers or contractors to ensure proper implementation of designs

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure designs meet electrical safety and regulatory standards

• Maintain design records, revision histories, and proper documentation

• Assist in testing and quality assurance before dispatch

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge or experience in designing High Tension (HT) panels will be an added advantage

• ITI, Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in electrical panel design (as applicable)

Job Work Schedule & Responsibilities

Work Location:

• Primarily Office-Based

• Site Visits as Required

Working Schedule:

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday

• Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

• Weekly Off: Sunday

• Saturday: WFH (Work from Home)

Site Visit (As Required):

• Visit project or client sites when needed

• Monitor progress, take updates, or conduct inspections

• Coordinate with on-site teams or vendors

• Ensure that field activities align with office planning and standards
