Elevator Designer

The Elevator Designer is responsible for designing, planning, and preparing technical drawings for elevator systems in compliance, safety standards, and applicable codes. The role involves coordination with sales, installation, and project teams to ensure smooth execution from design to commissioning.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare GA drawings, layout drawings, shaft drawings, and shop drawings for elevators
• Design elevator systems based on site conditions, building structure, load capacity, speed, and travel height
• Coordinate with sales, project, and installation teams to finalize technical specifications
• Review architectural and civil drawings and provide shaft requirements
• Modify designs as per client feedback and site constraints
• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and technical data sheets
• Support project execution by providing technical clarifications during installation
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings
• Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of elevator components (machine, controller, cabin, door, guide rails, safety devices)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SolidWorks/REVIT is an advantage
• Understanding of elevator safety standards and IS codes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
