Import Logistics Executive

An Import Executive will be handling end-to-end import operations, including documentation (BL, Invoice, Packing List), shipment tracking, customs clearance, and coordination with forwarders and suppliers. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance (HS codes, DGFT), optimizing logistics costs, and ensuring timely delivery to meet operational needs. 

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, verify, and manage import documents (Invoice, Packing List, HSN codes, COO) and ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate air/sea shipments with freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Customs Clearance: Liaise with Custom House Agents (CHA) for smooth customs clearance and resolution of delays.
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipment status from origin to destination and provide updates to internal teams.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor freight costs and negotiate with logistics providers to minimize expenses.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 6 months to 4+ years in import operations, logistics, or supply chain.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, and HS codes.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
