Injection Molding Machine Operator-cum-SupervisorWorking Hours: 12 Hours Fixed Duty (Shift-based)

1. Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation & Setup

• Operate, set, and monitor injection molding machines as per production plan.
• Perform mold changeovers, parameter setting, and trial runs.
• Ensure machines run smoothly with minimum downtime.

1. Production Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day molding operations during the 12-hour shift.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
• Maintain proper cycle time and production efficiency.

1. Quality Control

• Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Inspect molded components for defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, and warpage.
• Coordinate with QC team for rejection analysis and corrective actions.

1. Manpower Handling

• Supervise machine operators, helpers, and shift staff.
• Allocate manpower efficiently across machines.
• Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to shop-floor rules.

1. Material & Process Control

• Ensure correct raw material usage and prevent material wastage.
• Monitor drying, mixing, and material feeding processes.
• Maintain proper documentation of material consumption.

1. Breakdown Handling & Maintenance Coordination

• Identify machine or mold issues and take immediate corrective action.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure basic machine upkeep and cleanliness.

1. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all safety procedures are followed on the shop floor.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment during the shift.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and policies.

1. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily production, rejection, and downtime reports.
• Handover complete shift status to the next shift supervisor.
• Report any major issues to Production Manager/Plant Head.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Suggest improvements to reduce rejection, improve productivity, and save costs.
• Support process optimization and new product trials.
• Additional Notes:Fixed 12-hour duty as per company shift schedule.
• Candidate must be flexible for day/night shifts if required.
• Prior experience in plastic injection molding is mandatory.
