Rooftop Solar Design Engineer

📌 Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Rooftop Solar Design Engineer to create accurate, efficient, and compliant solar PV system designs. The role involves system sizing, layout creation, inverter selection, and preparing engineering documentation for residential, commercial & industrial projects.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Create system designs using Helioscope / PVsyst / AutoCAD / SketchUp

Prepare PV layouts, string sizing, SLDs, and BOMs

Perform shading analysis, energy generation estimates, and performance modelling

Select appropriate modules, inverters, cables, and BOS components

Ensure compliance with DISCOM, MNRE, and local safety standards

Coordinate with sales, project execution, and vendors for technical clarity

Support proposal engineering and provide technical inputs during client discussions

🎯 Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering

1–4 years’ experience in solar PV design (rooftop experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of inverters, module placement, and system protections

Proficiency in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and MS Office

Understanding of net-metering guidelines & DISCOM processes

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
