- The Area Sales Officer (ASO) is responsible for driving sales, distribution, and market share for the company’s mustard oil products within the assigned territory. This role involves managing distributors and retailers, implementing sales strategies, expanding market coverage, and ensuring brand visibility and availability in all key outlets.
- Key Responsibilities:Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and distribution targets for mustard oil products in the assigned area.
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors and stockists to ensure effective product availability and reach.
- Build strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and institutional buyers to promote the brand.
- Monitor secondary sales, stock levels, and distributor performance regularly.
- Ensure timely placement of orders, delivery, and payment collection from trade partners.
- Conduct market visits to track competitor activities, pricing trends, and promotional schemes.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to execute trade promotions, dealer meets, and brand visibility programs.
- Provide training and guidance to distributor salesmen and field staff to enhance market execution.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and share insights on market performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and ensure the highest standards of product display and hygiene.
