Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role plays a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement.

• Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile complex general ledger accounts and investigate variances
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit inquiries
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Review work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance
• Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, tax, operations)
• Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Preferred Skills
• Experience in financial reporting and audits
• Prior experience mentoring or supervising staff
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
