Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting audits and financial planning. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, leadership ability, and attention to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise daily accounting activities.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts.

Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.

Review bank reconciliations and ledger accounts.

Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Monitor accounts payable and receivable.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Guide and mentor junior accounting staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting (B.Com mandatory).

CA Inter / CA Final / M.Com preferred.

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, SAP, etc.).

Advanced MS Excel skills.

High attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

Experience in manufacturing or project-based accounting.

Knowledge of payroll management.

Audit handling and compliance experience.
