Job Summary:

The Tandoor Commis–I is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. The role requires basic knowledge of tandoor operations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparation and cooking of tandoor items such as breads, kebabs, and starters

Operate and maintain the tandoor oven under supervision

Ensure proper marination, portioning, and storage of food items

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tandoor section

Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines

Assist senior chefs during service hours

Ensure food safety standards and kitchen SOPs are followed

Handle raw materials and inventory responsibly

Support team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Skills & Requirements:

Basic knowledge of Indian tandoor cooking techniques

Ability to work under pressure during peak hours

Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards

Team player with a positive attitude

Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Experience & Qualification:

1–2 years of experience in a tandoor section preferred

Hotel Management or Culinary Certificate/Diploma is an advantage

Working Conditions:

Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays

Fast-paced kitchen environment
