Warden

A hostel warden oversees the daily operations, safety, and administration of a residential facility, ensuring a secure and disciplined living environment for students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administration & Discipline:
•   Enforce hostel rules, maintain decorum, and impose penalties for violations.
•   Allot rooms to residents and manage the in/out registers.
•   Supervise hostel staff (ward boys, security, sweepers) and inspect facilities for maintenance.
•   Report serious breaches of discipline, health issues, or safety risks to higher authorities.
• Student Welfare & Safety:
•   Ensure the safety and security of residents, particularly during non-academic hours and nights.
•   Monitor the health, hygiene, and well-being of the residents.
•   Provide counseling and support to students for personal or academic issues.
•   Coordinate with medical staff and handle emergencies.
• Communication & Reporting:
•   Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
•   Organize or oversee cultural and sports activities.
