Core responsibility related to GLP:

• Anesthesia / euthanasia of laboratory animals as per SOP

• Blood collection preparation

• Collection of blood from laboratory animals as per SOP and study plan

•Preparation of blood smears

• Necropsy & organ collection from laboratory animals (rat, mice, rabbit & guinea pig).

• Preparation of fixative solutions.

• Tissue sectioning and maintaining various histopathological instruments.

• Labeling of micro centrifuge and bottle according to study plan.

• Preparation of surgical instruments for necropsy.

• Opening of carcass and collection of organ according to study plan requirement.

• Tissue trimming according to SOP and study plan requirement.

• Processing of animal tissue according to SOP.

• Block making and its labeling.

• Section cutting of the block of various organs.

• Slide staining and mounting of different organs according to study plan.

• Data entry and maintaining logbooks for Histopathological equipments.

• Maintain and execution of calibration schedule for various instruments in the laboratory.

• Maintain material and chemical stock.

• Receipt and maintenance of utilization record for chemicals and reagents.

• Preventive maintenance of histopathology equipments.

• Labeling instruments and chemicals.

• Revision and preparation of various SOPs of pathology laboratory and equipments.

• Recording of temperature and / or humidity in facility as per respective SOP.

• Maintenance of log book and preventive maintenance check for instruments of lab.

• Documentation as per GLP.

• Archiving of dry & wet materials Allied responsibility:

• Analysis of samples for Biochemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urine parameters from animal blood and urine.

• Smear preparation, staining & observation of reticulocytes, differential leucocytes count and bone marrow smears.

• Documentation and maintain data according to GLP requirement

• Any additional responsibility / activity as and when assigned by management which would not arise any conflict of interest.
