Electrical And Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:Responsible for handling both electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery used in CPVC pipe manufacturing. The role ensures smooth plant operations, minimizes downtime, and improves machine efficiency through effective maintenance practices.

• Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Electrical Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot extrusion lines, mixers, heaters, and cooling systems

• Handle PLC, VFD drives, SCADA systems, and control panels
• Maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, and DG sets
• Monitor power consumption and optimize energy usage
• Ensure proper functioning of sensors, temperature controllers, and automation systems
• Follow electrical safety standards and compliance

🔹 Mechanical Responsibilities:

• Maintain extruders, screw barrels, die heads, vacuum tanks, haul-off machines, and cutters
• Handle gearboxes, pumps, compressors, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems
• Perform alignment, lubrication, and mechanical inspections
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform root cause analysis
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery

🔹 General Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive & predictive maintenance as per schedule
• Attend breakdowns and minimize machine downtime
• Maintain maintenance logs and reports
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts
• Coordinate with production team for smooth operations
• Implement 5S, TPM, and safety practices
• Suggest improvements for productivity and cost reduction

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery (CPVC/PVC pipes)
• Hands-on experience with PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley), VFDs
• Strong understanding of hydraulics & pneumatics
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

3–5 years of experience in CPVC / PVC / Plastic Pipe Manufacturing Industry
