Electrical Engineer (PLC

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting:
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and I/O mapping using Eplan Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for procurement and assembly.
• Update and maintain "as-built" drawings post-commissioning.
• Panel Wiring & Assembly:
• Perform hands-on PLC/CNC panel wiring, including component mounting, trunking, and cable routing.
• Execute precise wiring for sensors, VFDs, servos, and actuators while following standard color codes and labeling practices.
• Ensure proper grounding and shielding to minimize electrical noise in control circuits.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
• Conduct systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and intermittent machine breakdowns.
• Diagnose hardware faults (e.g., blown fuses, faulty sensors) and software-related PLC/CNC issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and oscilloscopes for circuit validation.
• Mechanical & Field Integration:
• Collaborate with mechanical teams to integrate electrical controls into physical machine structures.
• Handle basic mechanical tasks such as bracket mounting, pneumatic system connections (air cylinders/valves), and using power tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Eplan Electric P8 and AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of PLC/CNC architecture and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet).
• Familiarity with global electrical codes (IEC, UL, or NEC).
• Hands-on Skills: Proficiency in using crimping tools, wire strippers, torque drivers, and electrical measurement instruments.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, the ability to work under pressure during downtime, and clear technical communication.
