Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accountant to join our team on a weekly basis. Your primary goal will be to ensure our financial records are meticulous, categorized correctly, and fully synchronized with our external Chartered Accountants (CAs).

This is an in-office role requiring one visit per week to our location in Kochi.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Categorization: Accurately record and categorize all business expenses, income, and bank transactions.

Bookkeeping Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and "clean."

CA Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for our CAs, providing them with necessary documentation for GST filings, audits, and compliance.

Reconciliation: Perform weekly bank and ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.

Financial Reporting: Ensure the books are always "audit-ready" and provide brief weekly updates on the company’s financial health.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (experience in the export-import sector is a significant plus).

Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books)

Strong understanding of Indian tax compliance (GST, TDS, etc.).

Highly organized with a "system-first" mindset.

Ability to work independently during your weekly office visit.

Schedule & Compensation

Frequency: Once a week (specific day to be agreed upon).

Location: Palarivattom, Kochi.
