Job Description

Lavanya Trading Co., a well-established company in the crockery and glassware business, is seeking a motivated and proactive Area Sales and Marketing Officer to manage sales and marketing relationships within the Ernakulam and Trissur district. The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting existing retail partners, creating new customer relationships, and achieving specified monthly sales targets. The products in focus include glassware, crockery, knives, kitchen wares, dinner sets, hotpots, ceramic items, steel wares, and plastic wares.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Relationship Management:
  • Visit existing retail partners regularly to maintain and strengthen relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the customer base within the Malappuram district.
  • Present, promote, and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competition.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the district.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular sales and marketing reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and transactions.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and features, and share this knowledge with customers.
  • Educate customers about the features and benefits of the company’s products.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Malappuram district.
