Two-Wheeler Service Technician

Location: Petta,Pathadipalam,Kalamassery,Aluva.

Reports to: Service Manager / Workshop Supervisor

Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our Honda And Jawa Yezdi BSA authorized service center. You will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance and repairs on Honda’s range of motorcycles and scooters, ensuring every customer enjoys a safe and smooth ride.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Identify mechanical and electrical faults using Honda diagnostic tools and manual inspection.
• General Servicing: Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, chain lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Engine Work: Conduct minor and major engine repairs, including overhauls, valve adjustments, and clutch repairs.
• Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot battery issues, wiring harnesses, and FI (Fuel Injection) systems.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets Honda’s global service standards and conduct test rides to verify repair quality.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts used and labor hours per vehicle.Specialized Repair: Perform maintenance on the full range of Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycles, focusing on high-compression, liquid-cooled DOHC engines.
• Advanced Diagnostics: Use specialized OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) tools to troubleshoot EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) and ABS systems.
• Chassis & Suspension: Service and tune telescopic forks, gas-charged twin shocks, and high-performance braking systems.
• Restoration & Customization: Assist in the fitment of official accessories and ensure the "fit and finish" of these premium machines remains top-notch.
• PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection): Conduct thorough checks on new motorcycles to ensure they meet the brand’s "Legendary" delivery standards.
• Customer Interaction: Briefly explain technical issues to premium customers when required, maintaining a professional and knowledgeable demeanor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a two-wheeler workshop (Honda-specific experience is a major plus).Experience with liquid-cooled engines or premium brands (like Royal Enfield, KTM, or Triumph) is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of 4-stroke engines, CVT transmissions (for scooters), and braking systems (CBS/ABS).Strong grasp of modern engine cooling systems, fuel mapping, and disc brake maintenance.
• License: Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
