Automation Engineer

Job Description (JD)Position: Application Engineer – Control & Automation

Job Responsibilities·        Understand customer and internal application requirements clearly.

·        Select suitable automation hardware as per application (PLC, HMI, power supply, relays, I/O modules).

·        Select required instruments and sensors such as temperature, pressure, load cell, proximity, flow and level sensors.

·        Provide sensor model numbers, specifications, range, and accuracy.

·        Prepare and share a complete project report with all automation and sensor details.

Pneumatic & Electrical Work·        Select pneumatic components like cylinders, solenoid valves, FRL units, regulators, tubing and fittings.

·        Release electrical drawings including control wiring, power wiring and I/O diagrams.

·        Support control panel design and BOM preparation.

Coordination & Support·        If required Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and purchase teams.

·        If required Provide technical support during assembly, testing and commissioning.

·        Help in troubleshooting automation and instrumentation issues.

Required Skills·        Knowledge of control and automation systems.

·        Basic understanding of industrial sensors and instrumentation.

·        Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical panels.

·        Ability to convert application requirements into automation solutions.

QualificationDiploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation or Mechatronics.

Experience2 to 6 years experience in control and automation field preferred.

Key Output·        Correct automation and sensor selection.

·        Proper electrical drawings.

·        Complete and clear project documentation.
