Dance Teacher

Core Responsibilities

• Instruction and Training: Teach dance techniques, steps, and routines across various styles, demonstrating proper form and correcting mistakes. 
• Choreography: Create and develop dance routines and pieces for students to perform in recitals, competitions, or other events. 
• Lesson Planning: Develop structured and tailored lesson plans that accommodate different skill levels and learning goals. 
• Student Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing personalized feedback to help them develop their abilities. 
• Performance Preparation: Prepare students for performances, exams, or other shows, including rehearsals and selections of music and costumes. 

Studio and Environment

• Safe and Positive Atmosphere: Foster an inclusive, supportive, and fun learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence. 
• Studio Maintenance: Ensure the dance studio is clean, organized, and equipped for classes, following all safety regulations. 

Communication and Collaboration

• Parent and Student Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress, events, and studio activities. 
• Collaboration: Work with other teachers, studio owners, or staff to create comprehensive dance programs and share expertise. 

Professional Development

• Stay Updated: Keep current with new dance techniques, trends, and curriculum changes to enhance teaching quality. 
• Mentoring and Professional Growth: Engage in professional development opportunities and potentially mentor junior teachers or students.
