Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for operation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair of all Low Tension (LT) electrical systems associated with the Water Supply Project. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in maintaining and repairing LT Panels and Soft Starters to ensure uninterrupted water supply operations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment at project sites.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LT Panels, including:

• PCC Panels
• MCC Panels
• Control & Distribution Panels
• Installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of Soft Starters used for pump and motor operations.
• Handle maintenance of electric motors, pumps, and motor control circuits.
• Operation and maintenance of DG Sets, including load management and basic electrical fault rectification.
• Maintain and service ACB, MCCB, VCB (LT side only) and all protection devices.
• Identify electrical faults, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain daily logbooks, preventive maintenance schedules, and breakdown reports as per departmental norms.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
• Supervise electricians and technicians, providing technical guidance at site.
• Attend emergency breakdowns to restore power supply and water operations in minimum time.
