Job Title: English Teacher (Classes 7th–10th)

Location: V.K. International School, Faridabad (Haryana)

Grades: 7th to 10th

About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students of Classes 7th to 10th, while fostering communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking. The teacher should motivate students to develop a strong foundation in grammar, writing, and literary appreciation in line with the CBSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver structured English lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, creative writing, and literature suitable for each grade level.
• Design engaging activities such as debates, role plays, and group discussions to build fluency.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and projects to support classroom learning.
• Conduct regular tests, assessments, and examinations to monitor progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain academic records.
• Encourage students to read extensively and develop analytical and interpretive skills.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects, assemblies, and school events.
• Use ICT tools, smart classrooms, and digital resources effectively in teaching.

Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree (M.A.) in English with minimu 65% marks.

• B.Ed. with English as a teaching subject (mandatory).
• Strong command over English (spoken & written).
• Familiarity with CBSE/NCERT curriculum and exam patterns.

Preferred Qualifications CTET / TET qualified (preferred, not mandatory).

• Prior teaching experience of 2–5 years in Middle & Secondary classes.
• Knowledge of modern pedagogy and activity-based learning.
• Ability to guide students in co-curricular activities such as elocution, dramatics, and creative writing.
• Key SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skills.
• Patience, empathy, and classroom management.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Smart Boards, and educational apps.
