Lab Assistant

Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant will support the Quality Control and R&D teams in conducting laboratory testing of construction and waterproofing products. The role involves sample preparation, routine testing, documentation, and assisting in product development while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in laboratory testing of construction and waterproofing products such as coatings, sealants, admixtures, and related materials.

Prepare test samples, trial batches, and formulations as per standard operating procedures.

Perform raw material testing and in-process quality checks.

Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory documentation and reports.

Support QC and R&D teams during product trials and improvement activities.

Ensure proper handling, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.

Follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and company SOPs at all times.

Educational Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Material Science or a related field.

Candidates with relevant laboratory experience in manufacturing industries may also be considered.

Work Experience:

1-3 years Experience in construction chemicals, waterproofing, or building material industry.

Hands-on approach with a strong sense of quality and discipline.

Comfortable working in a plant / factory environment.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment.

Understanding of construction chemicals or waterproofing products (preferred).

Good observation skills and attention to detail.

Ability to maintain accurate records and follow testing protocols.

Willingness to learn and work in a plant or factory environment.

Basic communication and teamwork skills.
